Yamaha YZF R15 V3 is a 150cc segment sports bike and is an updated version of Yamaha YZF R15 V2. Back in the days when Yamaha launched its first R15 in India it changed the way of the indian consumer to look at the bikes it was very popular affordable sports bike in india and after with some updates Yamaha launched its version 2.0 with an LED tail light, sporty pillion seat and was more aggressive than the R15 V1 and now with the discontinuation of R15 V2 Yamaha launched its successor the R15 version 3.0 which is even more sleek than the V2 and is the sportiest motorcycle in india under 150cc segment and comes with a comfortable pillion seat as well. Yamaha R15 version 3.0 is powered by a 155cc liquid cooled engine with Valve Variable Actuation (VVA) technology. It produces 19.3 ps of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 nm of torque at 8,500 rpm, the engine is equiped with 6 speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. While the international model of R15 V3 features upside down forks at front the indian version is equiped with telescopic at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Brakes are equipped with  282mm at front and 220mm at rear disc with standard dual channel ABS.
Bike also features LED headlamps and tail light and a fully digital console that shows a bunch of information. Yamaha also provides a range of accessories like Metzeler Tyre at the rear, Daytona Race-only exhaust, USB charger and more. The Yamaha R15 V3 looks more like Yamaha YZF R1 now it just looks like a baby version of it and it rivals directly with the KTM RC 200, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and Suzuki Gixxer sf 150.

Revolt RV400 India's first AI enabled Bike

Co-founder of Micromax mobiles, Rahul Sharma's new startup Revolt Motors just pulled the wraps off of their first electric Bike the Revolt RV400, it is also India's first AI enabled electric motorcycle and come along with features that has not been seen in any Indian electric bike segment yet. While Revolt RV400 seems to be a flagship product on papers it's yet to release and customers will be able to book the bike on 25 June 2019 via Amazon or company's official website with the booking amount of ₹1000/-

Some Interesting Points To remember while booking the bike are 

  • Revolt Motors claims that the bike can go for 156 kilometers on a single charge, that is just double of any of its competitors like Ather 450 as it give only a 55-70 kilometers per charge.
  • Lithium ion battery of RV400 takes 4 hours to get fully charged via 15 amperes socket.
  • Revolt RV400 has a top speed of 86 km/hr.
  • RV400 comes along with a GPS pre-installed and can be located on Revolt's official mobile app easily.
  • It can be operated with the mobile app, user can turn on/off the bike with the help of the app and rider can geo-fence the bike, meaning the bike will not go beyond a specified range set by the owner which will prevent it from being stolen.
  • As many of the electrical bikes doesn't have an exhaust sound, the Revolt RV400 has an exhaust sound system that can be enabled through the app and that's not just it the user will be able to change the exhaust sound as it offers 4 different exhaust sound that can be changed via app and company says they will release more interesting features through over the air update yes this bike is a smart bike that supports OTA.

Some points regarding battery.

The bike packs a lithium ion battery that can be recharged with a normal 15 ampere plug point and doesn't require any other specific thing but what if you're stuck somewhere with no charging point or just don't want to drag your bike to a charging station well, here the company comes to your rescue, you can order a new battery through your app and can replace your drained battery for a newly charged one, and company will also launch the mobile battery swapping point throughout the cities that can be located on the app however the cost for the same is yet to cleared by the company.

  • Revolt RV400 has a fully digital console that shows the battery life and temperature of the bike and other normal features as well.
  • LED head lamps and indicators.
  • Inverted fork at the upfront and monoshock at the back.
  • Have disc brakes at both tyres with Combined braking system.
  • As it is an electric bike it can generate a great amount of torque as well.
  • Bike has an electric engine and the power is delivered to the rear wheel through a belt and has no gearbox system.

TVS Apache RR 310 just got updated with the Race Tuned slipper clutch feature and some cool graphics with the price tag of INR 2.27 Lakhs (ex-Showroom India). The RR 310 being a 300 cc segment bike does give feel of bigger segments bikes like of 600 cc and according to TVS this update was necessary to enhance the overall use of bike and rider's experience to provide faster gear shifting without putting too much strain on one's hands and the great thing is that pre Apache RR 310 owners can also get their Bikes updated from their nearest service centers. Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni became the first Indian to own the Apache RR 310 with the slipper clutch. The Apache RR 310 has a 312.2 cc, Liquid Cooled, Single Cylinder, 4-Stroke, 4-Valve, Reverse Inclined DOHC, SI Engine that generates 37 ps of power @ 9700 rpm and 27.3 nm of torque @ 7700 rpm. Suzuki has launched its rival against the Honda CBR250R and the all new Yamaha R15 V3 as Honda is delaying the updates of its CBR series in India Suzuki took some vital action here keeping the Indian consumer in mind the bike does give a sporty look and it's an upgraded version of the previous Gixxer sf 150. Not just both of the bikes looks sporty but can be a great tourer and good for your daily commute as well, with the good power delivery and torque the Gixxer SF 250 directly rivals the Honda's CBR 250R however the gixxer SF 150 just got some cosmetic updates from it's previous model it carries the same power and torque as the older variant but both of the bikes offers ABS and are cheaper than their rivals.
